Tony’s vows not to shrink chocolate bars despite price increases

Published on The Grocer

Tony’s Chocolonely has vowed to not shrink or reformulate its chocolate, despite it shelf prices rising by as much as 20% in a year.

The challenger brand promised consumers its chocolate would stay “exactly the same” in a recent LinkedIn post, unlike competitors whose bars are “getting smaller… or containing less coca” on account of soaring ingredient costs.

“At Tony’s, skimping on cocoa would mean skimping on our impact – and we’re not about that”, it stated.
