POS Placement Changes Boosted Healthcare Product Sales
Increasing in-store compliance by more than double, from 32% on entry to 81% on exit
Objective
- Site FSDUs across 381 Tesco stores. FSDUs were shipped only half filled to store due to their size and weight – field teams were required to remove padding and fill unit with stock from warehouse (pre-ordered in time for the visit).
Methodology
- Open POS placement audit with authorisation.
- The team checked the primary location of where the FSDU should have been sited. Where units were not compliant, the team checked all other aisles/locations, including the warehouse, and once located sited the FSDUs either in the primary position or a position agreed at store level.
- Padding was removed from the FSDU and additional stock replenished to ensure the unit was fully stocked on exit.
- Teams ensured that all SELs and POS were in place on the FSDU.
Outcome
- Assosia more than doubled in-store compliance – from 32% on entry to 81% on exit.
- The client confirmed that sales had more than doubled during Assosia’s visits, far exceeding their expectations based on previous in-store promotional activity (not supported by Assosia).
