Ongoing Off Fixture Space Audits

Objective

  • Accurately track the ‘off fixure/secondary space’ allocated to all grocery (incl non-food grocery items) across Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, JS Local and Tesco Express on a monthly basis.

 

Methodology

  • Covert audits
  • The team visit each store and record the featured space promotions across all aisle locations and equipment type.
  • We record the total number of shelves on each unit and the number of shelves the product sits on.
  • The team also capture the total number of facings that the product takes up and the category the products sit within.
  • We also capture the sub-categories (hierarchies were agreed with our client), our client products vs their competitors, manufacturer, brand, barcode, full product description, pack size, promotional mechanic, promotion detail, pre-promotion price and promotion unit price.
